T.S. Poetter lives in Oxford, Ohio, with his wife of nearly 30 years, Chris, and his two sons, Mitch and Sam. A teacher, author, ordained minister and elder, father, husband, brother, and son, Tom writes from the heart about his life and experiences in hopes of illuminating a way forward for the reader, day by day, and in the case of 50 Christmases, year by year. Tom is a professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and has been teaching at Miami since 1997. He is a widely published author, with 16 authored/edited books and monographs in press and over 50 published manuscripts in the field of education. Two of his books transcend the field of education in terms of typical genre: a memoir of teaching entitled Teaching Again (2012, Information Age Publishers) and a novel entitled The Education of Sam Sanders (2006, Hamilton Books). Poetter is a proud graduate of Heidelberg College (BA, 1985), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1988) and Indiana University (Ph.D., 1994). He ran for the US House of Representatives in Ohio’s 8th District in 2014.
